يزيد بن سنان المري ? - ? هـ / ? - ? م يزيد بن سنان بن أبي حارثة بن مرة بن نشبة بن غيظ بن مرة بن عوف بن سعد بن ذبيان. شاعر جاهلي، يقال له ذو الرقيبة المري، والأشعر، وأبو ضمرة، والمقشعر، وكان إذا حضر حرباً اقشعر. من السادات في الجاهلية، كان رئيس (مرة بن عوف) في حربهم مع بني (تميم بن عبد مناة) وحلفائهم من عدّي وعكل، وظفر بهم يزيد وأخذ سبياً كثيراً. وهو أخو (هرم بن سنان) ممدوح زهير بن أبي سلمى.
