مهدي الطالقاني ١٢٦٥ - ١٣٤٣ هـ / ١٨٤٨ - ١٩٢٤ م مهدي الطالقاني. شاعر، وأديب من النجف نشأ في بيت علم ودين ويتصل نسبه بعلي بن أبي طالب، كان من معلميه السيد ميرزا الطالقاني والشيخ محمد طه نجف والشيخ آغا رضا الهمداني، في شعره غزل ومدح ورثاء ومن أبيات تعشقه قوله: وكم ليلةٍ قد بِتّ فيها منعَّماً على غير واشٍ بين بيضِ الترائب ألا من مُجيري من عيُون الكواعبِ فقد فعلت في النفس فعل القواضب مات ودفن في النجف الشريف. من مؤلفاته: (منهاج الصالحين في مواعظ الأنبياء والأولياء والحكماء)
