مصطفى زين الدين الحمصي ١٢٤٨ - ١٣١٩ هـ / ١٨٣٢ - ١٩٠١ م مصطفى زين الدين الحمصي. شاعر من أهل حمص، مولده ووفاته فيها. برع في الأدب والموسيقى. وكان حسن الصوت وسافر إلى الأستانة والحجاز ومصر. شعره رقيق في الغزل والمدائح النبوية. وإنما اشتهر بمعارضاته لمعاصره الهلالي (محمد بن هلال) وكان كلما نظم الهلالي قصيدة أو موشحاً في مدح أحد الولاة أو الأعيان عارضه صاحب الترجمة بقافيته ووزنه وأكثر ألفاظه، وجعله في وصف الطعام، حتى عرف بالجوعان وجمعت معارضاته هذه في كتاب (تذكرة الغافل عن استحضار المآكل -ط) .
