    محمد على عز الدين ? - ١٣٠٣ هـ / ? - ١٨٨٥ م محمد بن علي بن محمد بن إسماعيل بن إبراهيم آل عز الدين الحناوي الصوري العاملي. عالم جليل، وشاعر أديب. ولد في حنويه، وهاجر إلى النجف حيث تلمذ على علمائها، ثم عاد إلى بلاده حيث أنشأ مدرسته الشهيرة في حنويه التي أخرجت بدورها الكثير من العلماء والأدباء. له شعر من الوزن المقبول في ديوان شعر كبير. توفي في جبل عامل، ودفن في حنويه. له: روح الإيمان وروحان الجنان، تحفة القاري من صحيح البخاري، سوق المعادن.
