محمد علي بن صالح العاملي ١٢٤٧ - ١٢٩٠ هـ / ١٨٣١ - ١٨٧٣ م محمد علي بن أبي الحسن بن صالح بن محمد بن إبراهيم بن زين العابدين بن نور الدين الموسوي العاملي النجفي الحائري. عالم جليل، وأديب شاعر. ولد في الهور من ضواحي النجف، ونشأ على أبيه، ثم أرسله والده إلى النجف، فتلقى بها المعارف من أفواه الأفاضل في المجالس. نال منزلة عظيمة في العلم، وبلغ مرتبة الاجتهاد، ثم هاجر مع والدته إلى كربلاء. قرض الشعر وأكثر منه. توفي في الحائر. له: كتاب في النحو، كتاب في الصرف، كتاب في الأصول.
