محمد حسين الأصفهاني ١٢٩٦ - ١٣٦١ هـ / ١٨٧٩ - ١٩٤٢ م محمد حسين الأصفهاني. فيلسوف كبير، وحكيم شهير، وفقيه أوحد وأصولي. درس على يد الكثير من علماء عصره حتى أصبح علماً يشار إليه بالبنان، ونال المرجعية والزعامة في التدريس، فكانت حلقته ملتقى عامة أرباب الفضيلة. كان شاعراً مفلقاً أجاد بالعربية والفارسية. له منظومات عدة منها: منظومة في الاعتكاف، منظومة في الصوم، منظومة في الطهارة، وغيرها الكثير. توفي في النجف. له: كتاب في الأصول، نهاية الدراية، رسالة في الصحيح والأعم، رسالتان في المشتق، رسالة في الطلب والإرادة.
