محمد حسن حيدر ١٣٠٥ - ١٣٦٣ هـ / ١٨٨٧ - ١٩٤٣ م أبو الجواد محمد حسن بن باقر بن علي بن محمد بن علي بن حيدر. أديب شهير، وشاعر معروف. ولد في سوق الشيوخ، ونشأ بها على أبيه الذي كان من الأعلام، فدرس المقدمات، ثم هاجر إلى النجف حيث أكمل الفقه والأصول. وأخذ الأدب والعلم على أندية النجف، فراح يواصل النظم ويساجل فريقاً من أخدانه. توفي ببغداد إثر مرض ألم به، ونقل إلى النجف ودفن فيها، ورثاه مجموعة من أدباء عصره.
