عدنان الغريفي ١٢٨٥ - ١٣٤٠ هـ / ١٨٦٨ - ١٩٢١ م السيد عدنان بن شبر بن علي بن محمد بن حسين الغريفي البحراني البصري. عالم جهبذ، وفذ شهير وشاعر مطبوع. ولد بالمحمرة من بلدان عربستان ونشأ بها يتيماً. هاجر في صباه إلى النجف فتعلم بها وتخرج على علمائها. توفي في الكاظمية ودفن في النجف. وله منظومة في الحج وأسراره في ألف بيت. له: (قبسة العجلان من طور الإيمان - ط) ، حاشية على كتاب (العروة الوثقى لليزدي - ط) ، حاشية على كتاب (القوانين) في علم أصول الفقه.
