    عباس العاملي ? - ١٢٩٤ هـ / ? - ١٨٧٧ م عباس بن محمد بن جواد العاملي. شاعر مطبوع، وأديب فاضل. ينتمي إلى أسرة عريقة في العلم والفضل. ولد في النجف، محباً للفضل والأدب، فحصل على مقدار من مقدمات العلوم العربية، وجعل يواصل شعراء عصره فجادت قريحته بالنظم. ثم رحل إلى بغداد فاجتمع مع كبار علمائها وشعرائها، ثم رحل إلى بلاد إيران. له شعر جيد فرض به شخصيته على أعلام الشعر والأدب في عصره.
