طاهر السوداني ١٢٦٠ - ١٣٣٣ هـ / ١٨٤٤ - ١٩١٤ م أبو الكاظم طاهر بن حسن بن بندر بن سباهي الكندي السوداني. أديب معروف، وشاعر مطبوع، وعالم فاضل. ولد في النجف، ونشأ بها، فدرس المقدمات على مجموعة من رجال الفضيلة، وتفوق على أخدانه. وبقي في النجف مدة من الزمن ينهل من معين علمائها، ثم سافر إلى لواء العمارة، فكان له المكان المرموق. جمع طاهر أكثر من ستة آلاف بيت، غير أنه تلف من في أسفاره. توفي في العمارة، ونقل جثمانه إلى النجف.
