    سنان المري ? - ٣٣ ق. هـ / ? - ٥٩٠ م سنان بن أبي حارثة بن مرة بن نُشبة بن غيظ بن مرة بن عوف بن سعد بن ذبيان، والد هرم بن سنان. شاعر جاهلي، وسيد شريف فارس، وأحد أجواد العرب وقضاتهم المحكمين في الجاهلية، وقد مدحه زهير ورثاه. عنفه قومه على كثرة عطاياه فركب الناقة ولم يرجع، فسمته العرب ضالة غطفان وكان في عصر النعمان بن المنذر قبل الإسلام.
