أمية الهذلي ? - ٧٥ هـ / ? - ٦٩٥ م أمية بن أبي عائذ العمري الهذلي. شاعر أدرك الجاهلية وعاش في الإسلام، كان من مداح بني أمية، له قصائد في عبد الملك بن مروان، ورحل إلى مصر فأكرمه عبد العزيز بن مروان ومما أنشده قصيدة مطلعها: ألا إن قلبي مع الطاغينا حزين فمن ذا يغري الحزينا وأقام عنده مدة بمصر، فكان يأنس به، ويوالي إكرامه، ثم تشوق إلى البادية وإلى أهله فرحل، وهو من بني عمر بن الحارث من هذيل. وله شعر مطبوع في ديوان الهذليين.
