    النابِغَة الشيباني ? - ١٢٥ هـ / ? - ٧٤٣ م عبد الله بن المخارق بن سليم بن حضيرة بن قيس، من بني شيبان. شاعر بدوي من شعراء العصر الأموي. كان يفد إلى الشام فيمدح الخلفاء من بني أمية، ويجزلون له العطاء. مدح عبد الملك بن مروان وولده من بعده، وله في الوليد مدائح كثيرة، ومات في أيام الوليد بن يزيد.
