المعطل الهذلي ? - ? هـ / ? - ? م المعطل الهذلي أحد بني رهم بن سعد بن هذيل. شاعر جاهلي مخضرم تطرق في شعره إلى الرثاء والغزل والفخر. ومن ذلك رثاؤه عمرو بن خويلد بن واثلة (وكان غزا عضل بن الديش وهم من الفارّة، فقتلوه ولم يقتلوا من أصحابه أحداً) ونسبها بعضهم إلى معقل بن خويلد أخو عمرو.
