المزرد الغطفاني ? - ١٠ هـ / ? - ٦٣١ م مزرد بن ضرار بن حرملة بن سنان المازني الذبياني الفطفاني. فارس شاعر جاهلي، أدرك الإسلام في كبره وأسلم ويقال: اسمه يزيد غلب عليه لقبه مزرد، وهو الأخ الأكبر للشماخ (معقل بن ضرار المتوفى سنة ٢٢ هـ ٦٤٢ م. خبيث اللسان، حلف لا ينزل به ضيف إلا هجاه، ولا يتنكب بيته إلا هجاه، وهو القائل في وصف آشعاره في الهجاء من أبيات: ومن نرمه منها ببيت يلح به كشامة وجه ليس للشام غاسل
