    الحَسل الهمداني ? - ? هـ / ? - ? م الحسل بن حاتم بن عميرة الهمداني. أحد شعراء همدان في الجاهلية، وهو أخو الشاعر (عاجبة) . روي أن أباه أرسله في تجارة فلقيه قومٌ من بني أسد فأخذوا ماله وأسروه. فلما جاء إبانه الذي كان يجيء فيه ولم يرجع راب قومه أمره فبعث أبوه أخاً له يقال له (شاكر) في طلبه والبحث عنه فلما دنا شاكر من الأرض التي بها الحِسل، كان الحسل عائفاً يزجر الطير. ثم اهتدى إليه أخوه ورجع به فقال أبوه: اسع بجدك لا بكدك فذهب قوله مثلاً.
