    الأعمى العاملي ? - ? هـ / ? - ? م عدي بن وداع الأعمى العاملي. من العفاة من الأزد، يلقب بالأعمى وفي شعره إشارات إلى أنه كان صحيح البصر ناصع العين في شبابه. فلما ولى عهد الشباب صار ينعي بصره ويضجر بعماه. وهو أحد المعمرين الذين ذكرهم أبو حاتم السجستاني في كتابه المعمرين وقد بالغ في طول حياته فزعم أنه عاش ثلاث مائة سنة فأدرك الإسلام وأسلم وغزا. وقد ذكر أبو حاتم نسبه فقال: عدي بن وداع بن الحارث بن مالك بن فهم بن غنم بن دوس بن عبد الله من الأزد. وللشاعر قصيدتان الأولى لامية في خمس وستين بيتاً له بيت إسلامي يقول فيه: لا عيش إن الجنة المخضرة من يدخل النار يلاق ضره
