أحمد قفطان ١٢١٧ - ١٢٩٣ هـ / ١٨٠٢ - ١٨٧٦ م أحمد بن حسن بن علي بن نجم الرباحي السعدي الشهير بقفطان. عالم جليل، وشاعر شهير، يكنى بأبي سهل. ولد في النجف، ونشأ بها على أبيه وجلّة من علمائها الأجلة. كان آية في الذكاء والحفظ، وكان أصمّاً، ولكنه يفهم المراد لأول وهلة. توفي في النجف ودفن فيها.
