أحمد بن شاهين القبرسي ٩٩٥ - ١٠٥٣ هـ / ١٥٨٧ - ١٦٤٣ م أحمد بن شاهين القبرسي، المعروف بالشاهيني. أديب، له شعر رقيق. أصل أبيه من جزيرة قبرس. ولد أحمد في دمشق، فانتظم في سلك الجند، وأسر في موقعة، وأطلق، فانصرف إلى الأدب. وناب في القضاء بدمشق، وتولى قضاء الركب الشامي سنة ١٠٣٠ هـ، ومدحه شعراء عصره. وزاحمه أحد معاصريه فانتزع منه وظائفه. وامتحن باصطناع الكيميا فأضاع فيها أموالاً طائلة. له كتاب في اللغة أشار إليه البديعي بقوله: من وقف في اللغة على كتابه الفاخر، علم منه كم ترك الأول للآخر، وله (ديوان شعر) . توفي بدمشق فقيراً.
