أبو المكارم البصري ? - ? هـ / ? - ? م المطهر بن محمد البصري. شاعر من الشحاذين، قال عنه الثعالبي: أحد من طوف في الآفاق، ولا راحلة له إلا الرجلة، ولا حرفة إلا شحذ الدية في الجدية، وهو شاعر سريع الخاطر، كثير النوادر في الجد والهزل. أخباره متناثرة، له مقطعات نثرية تجري على شاكلة فن التوقيعات منها قوله: توقعت إيجاباً فلم أر إلا حجاباً وإعجاباً. آخر أخباره أنه كان بالدامغان.
