أبو العميثل الأعرابي ? - ٢٤٠ هـ / ? - ٨٥٤ م عبد الله بن خليد بن سعد. مؤدب، من الشعراء الفضلاء، كان أبوه خليد مولى لبني العباس، قيل: أصله من الري، نشأ عبد الله في البادية، واتصل بالأمير طاهر بن الحسين، فاستكتبه طاهر، وعهد إليه بتأديب ولده عبد الله، فأقام معه في خراسان، ثم كان كاتب عبد الله بن طاهر وشاعره إلى أن توفي. له كتب، منها (الأبيات السائرة) ، و (معاني الشعر) ، وكتاب (التشابه) ، و (ما اتفق لفظه واختلف معناه) .
