أبو العِجل الماجن ? - ٢٣٢ هـ / ? - ٨٤٦ م أبو العجل الماجن. شاعر عباسي عاش في أواسط القرن الثالث، وهو من الشعراء العباسيين المنسيين، ولم يصلنا إلا القليل عن أخباره وشعره. له شعر مطبوع في كتاب شعراء عباسيون منسيون. كان عالماً بالنحو والغريب، عارفاً بأيام الناس وأخبارهم، وقد كان من آدب الناس وأحكمهم وأكملهم عقلاً وأشعرهم وأظرفهم، لقي المتوكل في دمشق.
