    أبو البقاء الرندي ٦٠١ - ٦٨٤ هـ / ١٢٠٤ - ١٢٨٥ م صالح بن يزيد بن صالح بن شريف الرندي، أبو البقاء. وتختلف كنيته بين أبي البقاء وأبي الطيب وهو مشهور في المشرق بأبي البقاء. وهو أديب شاعر ناقد قضى معظم أيامه في مدينة رندة واتصل ببلاط بني نصر (ابن الأحمر) في غرناطة. وكان يفد عليهم ويمدحهم وينال جوائزهم وكان يفيد من مجالس علمائها ومن الاختلاط بأدبائها كما كان ينشدهم من شعره أيضاً. وقال عنه عبد الملك المراكشي في الذيل والتكملة كان خاتمة الأدباء في الأندلس بارع التصرف في منظوم الكلام ونثره فقيهاً حافظاً فرضياً له مقامات بديعة في أغراض شتى وكلامه نظماً ونثراً مدون.
