    ابن علوي الحداد ١٠٤٤ - ١١٣٢ هـ / ١٦٣٤ - ١٧٢٠ م عبد الله بن علوي بن محمد بن أحمد المهاجر بن عيسى الحسيني الحضرمي المعروف بالحداد أو الحدادي باعلوي. فاضل من أهل تريم (بحضرموت) مولده في (السير) من ضواحيها، ووفاته في (الحاوي) ودفن في تريم. كان كفيفاً، ذهب الجدري ببصره طفلاً، واضطهده اليافعيون حكام تريم فكان ذلك سبب انتقاله إلى الحاوي. له رسائل وكتب منها (عقيدة التوحيد) و (الدعوة التامة والتذكرة العامة -ط) ، (تبصره الولي بطريقة السادة بني علوي) ، و (المسائل الصوفية) . وجمع تلميذه أحمد بن عبد الكريم الشجار الإحسائي، طائفة من كلامه في كتاب سماه (تثبيت الفؤاد -ط) .
