    ابن الأشد البَهدِلي ? - ? هـ / ? - ? م عمرو (أو عمر) بن عامر البهدلي التميمي أو السعدي المعروف بابن الأشد أو الأسد، أبو الخطاب. من شعراء البصرة، وكان راجزاً فصيحاً راويةً، أخذ عنه الأصمعي وجعله حجة، وروى شعره، وكان حياً في أيام هارون الرشيد، واتصل بموسى الهادي والفضل بن يحيى البرمكي، وهو أحد العرجان. ما تبقى من شعره قليل يجمع إلى فصاحة الأعراب حساسية أهل المدينة. وهو يمثل أحسن تمثيل مسلك الأصالة في الشعر العربي في النصف الأخير من المائة الثانية.
