    ابن أبي البشر ? - ٤٦٥ هـ / ? - ١٠٧٢ م علي بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي البِشر الكاتب الصقلي البلنوبي الأنصاري. أديب وشاعر من القرن الخامس الهجري أصله من صقلية، هاجر منها الى مصر بعد احتلال النورمنديين لصقلية، في أيام وزارة اليازوري بمصر بين ٤٤٢ - ٤٥٠هـ، وقد مدحه في شعره ومدح ابن حمدان وابن المقفي وابن المدبر ورئيس الرؤساء وعز الدولة واتصل فيها بأبي سليمان بن هبة الله الكاتب وهو من شعراء الخريدة، وكان من تلاميذه علي بن الحسن الدومراوي وعمر بن عيسى السوسي.. كان أبوه أبو القاسم عبد الرحمن مؤدباً للتجيبي أبي طاهر بن أحمد بن زيادة الله. وأخوه أبو محمد عبد العزيز بن عبد الرحمن كاتب مبرز وشاعر مفلق.
