    ٩٠٩ - محمّد بن حارث * * ابن أسد، الحافظ، أبو عبد الله، الخشَني، القَيراوني، المقرئ.روى عن أحمد بن نَصْر، وأحمد بن زياد، وأحمد بن عُبادة، وقاسم بن أَصْبَغ. واستوطن الأندلس بقُرْطُبة، وتمكَّن من صاحبها الحكم بن عبد الرَّحمن المُسْتَنْصر، وصنَّف له كُتُبًا منها: كتاب "الاتفاق والاختلاف" في مَذْهب مالك، وكتاب "الفُتْيا" وكتاب "تاريخ الأنْدلس" وكتاب "تاريخ الأفريقيين" وكتاب "النَّسَب". قال أبو الوليد بن الفرضي: بلغني أَنَّه صنَّف للمُسْتَنْصر مئة ديوان. قال: وكان شاعرًا بليغًا لكنه يَلْحن. وكان مغرى بالكيمياء (١). واحتاج بعد موت الحاكم إلى أن جلس في حانوت يبيع الأدهان. روى عنه: أبو بكر بن حَوبيل، وغيره. ومات في صفر سنة إحدى وسبعين وثلاث مئة (٢).
