    ٦٥٩ - علي بنُ الحسيىن بن الجُنَيد * الحافظُ الثَّبت، أبو الحسن الرّازي، ويُعرف في بلده بالمالكي لكونه جمعَ حديثَ مالك. كان بصيرًا بالرِّجال والعِلَل. سمع: أبا جعفر النّفيلي، وصفوانَ بنَ صالح، وأبا مُصعب، والمُعافى بنَ سليمان، ومحمدَ بنَ عبد اللَّه بن نمير، وطبقتهم. وعنه: ابنُ أبي حاتم، وأحمدُ بن إسحاق الصِّبْغي، ودَعْلَج، وأبو أحمد العسّال، وإسماعيلُ بنُ نُجيد، وآخرون. قال ابن أبي حاتم: ثقة صدوق (١).وقال أبو يَعْلى الخَليلي: هو حافظُ علمِ مالك (١). مات في آخر سنة إحدى وتسعين ومئتين. وكان يحفظُ أحاديثَ الزُّهري أيضًا. رحمه اللَّهُ تعالى.
