٥٤٩ - أحمدُ بنُ سُليمان الرُّهَاوي * (س) الحافظُ الثِّقة، محدث الجزيرة، أبو الحسين. سمع: زيد بنَ الحُباب، وجعفر بنَ عون، ومسكين بنَ بُكير، ويحيى بنَ آدم، وخلقًا.وعنه: النسائي، وأبو عَرُوبة، ومحمد بنُ عبد الله مكحول البَيروتي، وغيرهم. وأجاز لابن أبي حاتم أحاديثَ كتبَ بها إليه. قال النَّسائي: ثقة مأمون، صاحبُ حديث (١). مات سنة إحدى وستّين ومئتين. وفيها توفي: شعيبُ بنُ أيوب الصَّرِيفيني شيخ واسط، وأبو شعيب صالح بنُ زياد السُّوسي مقرئ الجزيرة، وعليُّ بنُ إشكاب، وأخوه، والشيخ أبو يزيد البَسْطامي. ﵏.
