مُحَمَّد بْن واقد الأصبهاني يروي عَنْ دَاوُد بْن سُلَيْمَان صاحب عَلِيّ بْن أبي طَالِب. حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّد بْن حيان، ثنا أحْمَد بْن محمود بْن صبيح، ثنا أحْمَد بْن سَعِيْد بْن جرير، ثنا عمي إِبْرَاهِيم بن جرير ومحمد بْن واقد فِي جماعة، قَالُوا: ثنا دَاوُد بْن سُلَيْمَان، قَالَ: كنت مَعَ أبي في الكوفة فإذا شيخ أصلع عَلَى بغلة لَهُ وردة يقال لها دلدل قد احتوشته النَّاس فقلت يا أبه من هذا، قَالَ: هذا شاهنشاه العرب هذا عَلِيّ بْن أَبِي طَالِب رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ١٣٤٠ -
