    ١٥ - أبو نصر الزنجي أبو نصر أحمد بن منصور بن محمد بن القاسم بن حبيب بن عبدوس الزنجي الصفار من أهل نيسابور. يسكن ناحية زنج من أرباع نيسابور. والد الإمام عمر الصفار. كان شيخاً متميزاً، عالماً، سديداً، بسيرة صالحة. سمع أبا سهل محمد بن أحمد بن عبيد الله الحفصيالكشميهني، وأبا سعد أحمد بن إبراهيم بن موسى المقرئ، وأبا القاسم عبد الكريم بن هوازن القشيري. قال أبو سعد في التحبير: سمعت منه ومن زوجته دردانة بنت إسماعيل بن عبد الغافر الفارسي. وكانت ولادته في شعبان سنة ٤٤٩هـ بنيسابور، وتوفي في طريق قرية زيروان من نواحي زنج في أول شهر رمضان سنة ٥٣٣هـ.
