    ٩٧٨ - أبو الفتح البامنجي أبو الفتح مسعود بن أحمد بن يوسف بن أحمد بن يوسف بن أحمد بن يوسف الخطيب البامنجي من أهل قصبة باميين. كان فقيهاً فاضلاً، جامعاً بين العلوم، والفقه، والأدب، والوعظ، ويتولى الخطابة ببامين. تفقه بمرو الروذ على أبي محمد الحسين بن مسعود الفراء البغوي، وبمرو على أبي الفتح الموفق بن عبد الكريم الهروي، وسمع منهما الحديث، ومن ابيه، وأبي الحسن علي بن حسان بن سعيد المنيعي، وهو من مشاهير العلماء بقصبة باذغيس هراة. لقيته بها، وكتبت عنه شيئاً يسيراً. وكانت ولادته في السابع من ذي الحجة سنة ثمان وسبعين وأربعمئة ببامين. وتوفي بها في الرابع من شعبان سنة نيف وأربعين وخمسمئة.
