    ٩٧١ - أبو الفتح الفوشنجي أبو الفتح المختار بن عبد الحميد بن المنتصر بن محمد بن علي الأديب من أهل فوشنج سكن هراة. كان شيخاً فاضلاً، عالماً، له معرفة بالأدب، وكان حسن الخط كثير الجمع، والكتابة، والتحصيل جمع " تواريخ وفيات الشيوخ "، بعد ما جمعه الحاكم الكتبي، وكان ابن بنت الإمام أبي الحسن عبد الرحمن بن محمد الداودي. سمع جده لأمه. كتب إلي الإجازةسنة ثلاثين وخمسمئة. وكانت ولادته في حدود سنة ستين وأربعمئة تقديراً مني. ومات باشكيذبان يوم الجمعة الخامس والعشرين من شهر رمضان سنة ست وثلاثين وخمسمئة، ودفن بجنب أبيه.
