    ٧٦١ - أبو بكر الأشتر أبو بكر محمد بن طاهر بن عبد الله بن علي بن إسحاق بن العباس الأشتر الطوسي. رئيس نيسابور، حمله الأمير أبو الحسن إلى أصبهان، وسمع بها الحديث الكثير في أيام عنه نظام الملك، ورجع إلى نيسابور، وولي الرئاسة بها، وكان يلازم حضور الجمعات والختمات. سمع بأصبهان أبا منصور محمد بن أحمد بن علي بن شكرويه الباهلي، وأبا بكر محمد بن أحمد ابن محمد بن ماجة الأبهري، وأبا مسعود سليمان بن إبراهيم، وبنيسابور أبا الحسن علي بن أحمد المديني، وغيرهم. كتبت عنه بنيسابور. وتوفيبقرية سرده من سواد نيسابور في احد الربيعين أو الجماديين في سنة سبع وخمسين وخمسمئة.
