    ٥٧٢ - أبو الحسن الشاواني أبو الحسن لي بن محمد بن عبد العزيز بن أحمد بن محمد بن جعفر الشاواني المروزي من أهل قرية شاوان. إحدى قرى مرو. جده الأعلى أحمد بن محمد أبو حامد الشاواني من مشاهير المحدثين، وأبو الحسن هذا كان قد تفقه على جدي ﵀، وكان من الفتانين الشطارين، وعمر العمر الكبير حتى مات أقرانه. سمع الإمام جدي أبا المظفر السمعاني، والقاضي أبا اليسر محمد بن محمد بن محمد بن الحسين البزدوي، وأبا القاسم إسماعيل بن محمد بن أحمدالزاهري الدندانقاني، وغيرهم. سمعت منه بمرو. وكانت ولادته بقريته في سنة ثلاث وستين وأربعمئة. ووفاته بها يوم الخميس السادس والعشرين من شهر ربيع الأول سنة تسع وأربعين وخمسمئة.
