    ٣٧٧ - أبو يعلى العلوي السيد أبو يعلى عبد الأعلى بن عبد العزيز بن أبي الفخر العلوي الحسيني من أهل مالين هراة. كان يسكن قرية يقال لها ميمذان. وهو سبط أبي عروبة عبد الهادي ابن عبد الله الأنصاري. كان علوياً مفضلاً جواداً، سخي النفس. سمع أبا عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله العميري، وأبا عطاء عبد الأعلى بن عبد الواحد المليحي، وأبا سهل نجيب بن ميمون الواسطي، وغيرهم. سمعت منه بقرية ميمذان، وبهراة، ثم قدم علينا مرو منصرفاً من خوارزم وسمعت منه جزءاً وسمّعت ولدي أبا المظفر عنه، ووفاته يوم الأربعاء الثاني والعشرين من المحرم سنة تسع وأربعين وخمسمئة.
