    ٣٥٦ - أبو محمد البارناباذي أبو محمد عبد الرحمن بن علي بن أبي العباس بن علي بن الحسينابن الموفق النعيمي المعروف بالبارناباذي من أهل مرو. كان فقيهاً فاضلاً، عارفاً بالمذهب، مناظراً ورعاً، كثير التلاوة والصلاة. يسكن الجامع الأقدم، وكان يؤم الناس في الصلوات الخمس، وولي الخطابة نيابة عن عمي وكان تفقه على الإمام جدي أبي المظفر ثم خرج إلى بخارى، ولقي بها الأئمة. سمع الإمام جدي، وبهراة أبا سعد عبد العزيز بن عبد الله بن الحسين القايني. كتبت عنه شيئاً يسيراً قبل خروجي إلى الرحلة. وكانت وفاته سحر ليلة الخميس لست ليال خلون من شهر ربيع الأول سنة اثنتين وأربعين وخمسمئة وصليت عليه ودفن بسنجذان
