    ٢٩٢ - أبو مضر الطَبَري أبو مضر طاهر بن مهدي بن طاهر بن علي بن نصر الطبري أصله من طبرستان. ولد بنيسابور ونشأ بها، وسكن مرو إلى حين وفاته، لقي الإمام جدي، وتفقه على والدي وتخرج على أسعد بن أبي نصر الميهني،وكان فقيهاً فاضلاً مناظراً، عارفاً بالتواريخ والأدب، كثير المحفوظ من الأشعار وأيام الناس، ووفيات الأئمة. سمع بمرو الإمام أبا المظفر منصور ابن محمد السمعاني، وأبا محمد عبد الجبار بن عبد الوهاب الناقدي، وأبا علي إسماعيل بن أحمد البيهقي، وغيرهم. كتبت عنه إملاء، وكانت ولادته في سنة ثلاث وسبعين وأربعمئة بنيسابور، ووفاته بمرو ليلة الاثنين الرابع عشر من صفر سنة اثنتين وثلاثين وخمسمئة بسنجذان.
