    ٤٨ - أبو المعالي المِهْرَاني أبو المعالي أسعد بن نصر بن بكر بن أحمد بن الحسين بن مهران المقرئ المهراني من أهل نيسابور.كان شيخاً كبيراً مسناً ظريفاً من بيت الإمامة والعلم. خدم الكبار، ولقى الصدور. سمع أبا الحسن عبد الغافر الفارسي، وأبا محمد عبد الله ابن يوسف الجويني، وأبا عبد الله محمد بن علي الخبازي، وأبا سعد الكنجروذي وطبقتهم. كتب إليّ الإجازة وكانت ولادته في صفر سنة أربع وثلاثين وأربعمئة، ووفاته يوم الإثنين سلخ جمادى الأولى سنة ثمان عشرة وخمسمئة.
