    ٢٩ - أبو طاهر الوَثَّابِي أبو طاهر إسماعيل بن محمد بن أحمد بن محمد بن أحمد الوثّابي من أهل أصبهان. كان أديباً فاضلاً، وكانت له معرفة تامة بالأدب، وطبع جواد بالنظم والنثر ما رأيت بأصبهان في صنعة الشعر والترسل أفضل منه ولا أقوم به. أضر في آخر عمره وأفتقر وأظهر الخلل في أحواله إلا أنني سمعت الناس يقولون أنه يخلبالصلوات الفرض. سمع بإفادة محمد بن عبد الواحد الدقاق الحافظ جزءاً من حديث عبد الله بن يوسف بن بامويه، وسمع بأصبهان أبا عمرو بن مندة، وأبا الحسين أحمد ابن عبد الرحمن الذَّكْواني وربما سمع من غيرهم. وكانتولادته إن شاء الله سنة نيف وخمسين وأربعمئة، وواته في سنة ثلاث وثلاثين وخمسمئة.
