    ٢٨ - أبو القاسم السِنْجي أبو القاسم إسماعيل بم محمد بن أحمد بن عبد الصمد الحَفْصي لسِنْجي من أهل مرو. وكان إماماً، فاضلاً، مبرزاً مناظراًفحلاً، حسن العبادة، فصيح المنطق، وكان يقهر الخصوم في المناظرة. سمع أبا عبد الله محمد بن الحسن المِهْرَبَنْدقشاي، وأبا الفضل محمد بن أحمد بن أبي الحسن المِيْهني، وجدي أبا المظفر السمعاني، وأبا الخير بن موسى الصفار. فمن جملة ما سمعت منه الأحاديث التي جمعها أبو المظفر بروايته عنه. وكانت ولادتهفي سنة ثمان وخمسين وأربعئة.
