    ١٩ - أبو عمرو المُسْتَوْفي أبو عمرو إسماعيل بن الحسين بن أبي عمرو محمد المُستوفي النيسابوري من أهل نيسابور.كان شيخاً بهي المنظر، حسن الخط، ولي الأعمال التي تتعلق بالعسكر، ثم ترك ذلك وأعرض عنها، وقدم مرو بسبب ولده الموفق فإنه كان فقيهاً مناضراً مبرزاً. فوض إليه التدريس بالمدرسة الخازنية، ووالده هذا سمع يعقوب بن أحمد الصَيْرفي، وأبا الفتح نصر بن الحسن بن أحمد الحَاكمي وغيرهم. وكانت ولادته في سنة نيف وخمسين وأربعمئة بنيسابور، ووفاته بمرو بعد سنة ثلاثين وخمسمئة سنة أو سنتين.
