    ٧٩٧٠ - محمد بن علي بن الحسن الشرابي، أبو بكر. شيخ بغدادي. حدث عن محمد بن عبد السمرقندى، ويوسف القاضي. وعنه تمام الرازي، وحفيده على ابن أحمد بن محمد، وعبد الرحمن بن عمر النحاس. قال الخطيب: أحاديثه مستقيمة. وقال أبو الفتح بن مسرور: فيه بعض اللين. قلت: بل ليس بثقة، فإن تماما روى عنه، [قال] (٢) : حدثنا إبراهيم بن هاشم البغوي، حدثنا هدبة، حدثنا أبو عوانة، عن الأعمش، عن أبي صالح، عن أبي هريرة - مرفوعاً: كذب الناس الصواغون والصباغون. وهذا موضوع، والحمل فيه على الشرابي، وللمتن إسناد آخر ضعيف. مات بعد الخمسين وثلثمائة.
