٥٤٥ - محمد بن زياد [خ، ق] بن عبيد الله الزيادي، أبو عبد الله البصري، ولقبه اليؤيؤ - بياء آخر الحروف. سمع حماد بن ريد، وإبراهيم بن أبي يحيى. وعنه البخاري، وابن خزيمة، وخلق. قال ابن حبان في الثقات: ربما أخطأ. وضفعه ابن مندة، وخرج عنه البخاري حديثاً واحدا كالمقرون بغيره، عن غندر، أخبرنا عبد الحافظ وغيره - أن ابن الشيخ عبد القادر أخبرهم، قال: أخبرنا سعيد بن البناء، أخبرنا ابن البسرى (١) ، أخبرنا أبو طاهر الذهبي، حدثنا يحيى بن محمد، حدثنا محمد بن زياد، حدثنا حماد بن زيد، عن عاصم الأحول، عن أبي نضرة، عن جابر، قال: متعتان فعلناهما على عهد (٢) رسول الله ﷺ نهانا عنهما عمر فلم نعد إليهما. أخرجه مسلم.
