    ٥٧٣٩ - العلاء بن الفضل [ت، ق] المنقرى. عن عبيد الله بن عكراش. صدوق إن شاء الله. يكنى أبا الهذيل. روى عنه بندار، وإسماعيل القاضي، وجماعة. وبقى إلى سنة عشرين ومائتين. قال ابن حبان: كان ممن ينفرد بأشياء مناكير عن أقوام مشاهير، لا يعجبنى الاحتجاج بأخباره التي انفرد بها، فأما ما وافق الثقات فيها فإن اعتبر بها معتبر لم أر بذلك بأسا. قال ابن قانع: مات سنة عشرين ومائتين.
