    ٤٢٤٩ - عبد الله بن جعفر [ع] بن غيلان الرقى، أحد العلماء الثقات. عن أبي المليح، وعبيد (٢) الله بن عمرو. وعنه الدارمي، وأبو حاتم، وخلق. وثقه ابن معين، وأبو حاتم. وقال النسائي: ليس به بأس قبل أن يتغير. وقال هلال بن العلاء: عمى سنة ست عشرة ومائتين، وتغير سنة ثمانى عشرة، ومات سنة عشرين. وقال ابن حبان: اختلط ثمانى عشرة، ولم يكن اختلاطه [اختلاطا] (٣) فاحشا. [تفرد عنه قريش بن حيان] (٤) .
