٣٧٧٣ - بشير بن عقربة الجهني. ويكنى أبا اليمان. أخبرنا سعيد بن منصور قال: حدثنا حجر بن الحارث الغساني من أهل الرملة عن عبد الله بن عوف الكناني. وكان عاملا لعمر بن عبد العزيز على الرملة. أنه شهد عبد الملك بن مروان قال لبشير بن عقربة الجهني يوم قتل عمرو بن سعيد بن العاص: يا أبا اليمان إني قد احتجت اليوم إلى كلامك. قم فتكلم! فقال: إني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول:، من قام بخطبة لا يلتمس بها إلا رياء وسمعة وقفه الله يوم القيامة موقف رياء وسمعة،.
