٣٢١١ - حفص بن سليمان. مولى لبني منقر. ويكنى أبا الحسن. وكان أعلمهم بقول الحسن. قال يحيى بن سعيد: قال شعبة: أخذ مني حفص بن سليمان كتابا فلم يرده علي. وكان يأخذ كتب الناس فينسخها. ومات قبل الطاعون بقليل. وكان الطاعون سنة إحدى وثلاثين ومائة.
