٢٠٠٢ - الأسود بن هلال المحاربي محارب بن خصفة بن قيس بن عيلان بن مضر. روى عن عمر وعبد الله ومعاذ بن جبل. قال: أخبرنا سعيد بن منصور قال: حدثنا شريك بن عبد الله قال: حدثنا الأشعث بن سليم عن الأسود بن هلال قال: هاجرت في زمان عمر بن الخطاب فقدمت المدينة بإبل لي فدخلت المسجد فإذا أنا بعمر بن الخطاب يخطب الناس وهو يقول: يا أيها الناس حجوا وأهدوا فإن الله يحب الهدي. قال فخرجت وقد تعلق بزمام كل راحلة رجل فساوموني بها فأصبت سوقا. قال: أخبرنا الفضل بن دكين قال: حدثنا مسعر عن أبي صخر قال: كان على الأسود بن هلال طيلسان مدبج طويل الديباج. قال وتوفي الأسود بن هلال في زمن الحجاج بعد وقعة دير الجماجم.
