١٨٥٥ - وأخوه عمرو بن حريث بن عمرو بن عثمان بن عبد الله بن عمر بن مخزوم ويكنى أبا سعيد. قال محمد بن عمر: قبض النبي ﷺ وعمرو ابن اثنتي عشرة سنة. قال: وقال الفضل بن دكين أبو نعيم: نزل عمرو بن حريث الكوفة وابتنى بها دارا إلى جانب المسجد وهي كبيرة مشهورة فيها أصحاب الخز اليوم. قال محمد بن سعد: وكان زياد بن أبي سفيان إذا خرج إلى البصرة استخلف على الكوفة عمرو بن حريث. وقال الفضل بن دكين: مات عمرو بن حريث بالكوفة سنة خمس وثمانين في خلافة عبد الملك بن مروان وله بها عقب.
